Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel - Opening Fall 2008

Hotel Overview

The 1,000-room Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, scheduled to open in October 2008, will feature the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper^SM Beds, a 6,500-square foot fitness center, and a 2,000-square foot outdoor pool and sundeck.

It will be the largest hotel in Arizona, and will accommodate more guests for events and meetings than any other hotel in the downtown area. Once complete, it will boast more than 80,000 square feet of flexible, state-of-the-art meeting space including a nearly 29,000-square-foot ballroom and a 15,000-square-foot junior ballroom. In addition, there will be 17 meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a terrace for outdoor events. All meeting facilities will incorporate High Speed Internet Access, videoconferencing capabilities, and host on-site audiovisual staff.

The Sheraton is being built in the center of the bustling Civic Plaza area, one block from the Convention Center. It is the first hotel that has been built in Downtown Phoenix since 1976. It is owned by the City of Phoenix and managed by Starwood Hotels. This particular Sheraton features a new design for the hotel brand. It strives to be a place that is warm and comforting, second only to home, where visitors can come to connect and belong.
